Freedom of Expression #10 (1997)

"My Life as Text"

I really like this one. Perhaps it is my most mature work, but then again it may not even go beyond adolescence. It is certainly the most artfully constructed edition, with 32 deluxe 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" pages contained within a cool three-tone cover that has been carefully bound by myself. The pages contain simple words I associate with myself juxtaposed with self-depreciating or goofy rhymes such as "cultural criticism--intellectual jism," "record store clerk--condescending jerk," and "ph.d--shake your booty."

Other surprises await inside, including a nifty transparent first page full of words that lifts away to reveal a hidden message amongst the chaos. Also, be on the lookout for a "secret" FOE #10a addendum tucked away inside the back cover.
